The Longmont Youth Strings Ensemble will perform at the Old Town Marketplace, 332 Main St., Longmont, on Friday, May 8, from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.
The performance is part of the Downtown Longmont District’s “Music, Art & Youth” event, a collaboration with the St. Vrain Valley School District featuring musical performances, comedy acts and art displays throughout the Creative Downtown District.
“I am very excited that the city of Longmont has decided to feature young musicians,” said LYSE director Danielle Crisman. “The St. Vrain Valley is blessed with an abundance of young talent.”
May is SVVSD Appreciation Month in Downtown Longmont, with discounts and specials from participating downtown businesses. Details for those offers can be viewed at DowntownLongmont.com
