Always wanted to join the Longmont Youth Symphony, but had difficulty paying the tuition?
Want to become a better musician, but can’t afford private lessons?
We can help. LYS has recently received a grant to provide a limited number of qualified students with the following:
- Tuition scholarships for any LYS ensemble (grades 3-12),
- Payment assistance for private lessons arranged through LYS.
Our young musicians opportunity program, Spreading the Harmony, is open to current LYS musicians and to students who are not yet members of the Longmont Youth Symphony. Families with financial constraints are encouraged to apply.
We are especially looking for students playing the following instruments:
- Flute
- Oboe
- French Horn
- Trumpet
- Trombone
- Tuba
- Saxophone
- Euphonium
- Percussion
- String Bass
- Viola
