Auditions
The Longmont Youth Symphony will AUDITION new musicians on:
Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9:00am – 12:00pm
Location: First Lutheran Church, Longmont

Longmont Youth Symphony Orchestra: AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
All students are expected to prepare two contrasting musical selections. Additionally, you are expected to prepare one major scale and one minor scale covering your full range.
The Longmont Youth Symphony Orchestra auditions the following instruments:
- Flute/Piccolo
- Oboe/English Horn
- Clarinet
- Bassoon
- French Horn
- Trumpet
- Trombone
- Tuba
- Timpani
- Harp
- Violin I/II
- Viola
- Cello
- Bass
Longmont Youth Strings Ensemble: AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
All students are expected to prepare two contrasting musical selections. Additionally, you are expected to prepare one major scale and one minor scale covering your full range.
The Longmont Youth Strings Ensemble auditions the following instruments:
- Violin I/II
- Viola
- Cello
- Bass
Longmont Youth Wind Ensemble: AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
All students are expected to prepare two contrasting musical selections. Additionally, you are expected to prepare one major scale and one minor scale covering your full range.
The LYWE auditions the following instruments:
- Flute

- Eb and Alto Clarinet

- Alto Saxophone
